THE traditional March date of a knockout event has been moved.
Basingstoke Deane Rotary’s International Boxing Dinner, usually held in March, has been moved to a new date this year of Friday, 18 October.
A Rotary spokesperson said: "We wanted to enhance the level of boxing that table holders and their guests could enjoy. Therefore following discussions with Boxing England we are now part of their Pathway International Programme guaranteeing a wide range of experienced boxers.
"We have had top boxers fighting at our events in the past, including Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
"The format of the evening will remain the same and the location will be at the popular and high-quality venue, the Hampshire Court Hotel. We hope past and future table holders will put Friday, 18 October in your diary as we can guarantee you a great evening."
