STUDENTS studying health and social care at Queen Mary’s College enjoyed a hands on anatomy and physiology lesson last week.

With the use of interactive T-shirts and a mobile app, the students taking part were able to learn about body systems in a fun and engaging way.

Health and social Care students often go on to pursue careers in a wide range of important and rewarding professional roles where a good understanding of anatomy and physiology is required.

Previous students have gone on to work in nursing, midwifery, social work, paramedics, radiology and physiotherapy among many others.

Speaking about the use of the interactive t-shirts, teacher of health and social care Penny Lay said: “There was much laughter as well as learning.

“Students really enjoy the variety of approaches that are used to plan their lessons and the use of the t-shirts was particularly helpful for the visual learners of the group.”

QMC’s next Open Evening is taking place on April 25 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
