BOOKWORMS are being invited to help put Humpty Dumpty together again in Festival Place.

As a part of World Book Day, Porchester Square will be transformed over the weekend of March 2 and 3 as colourful giant storybook characters take centre stage at the popular shopping centre.

As guardian of the books, Boris the giant inflatable bookworm will be overseeing character appearances, entertaining Story Soup Sessions, a Humpty Dumpty adventure, and fun craft corner.

Colourful and eye-catching, both Boris and the eight-foot-tall Humpty Dumpty are perfect for selfies- and children taking part in fun story-telling sessions will be invited to put a broken apart Humpty back together again by finding the pieces hidden around the shopping centre.

Festival Place centre director Neil Churchill said: “We’re big fans of World Book Day here at Festival Place and are keen to open up a world of imagination to our young customers.

“Boris the giant bookworm and Humpty Dumpty are brilliant, eye-catching characters that are simply unmissable and will fill the space with colour and joy.

“This will be a really fun weekend, with lots of interactive experiences and great picture opportunities.

“With all our shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, visiting Festival Place this weekend is will be a great day out for families.”

Visitors to the town centre are also encouraged to read books from the Giant Bookcase Library, enjoy interactive story adventures with Wendy Wordsworth and Sidney Syllable, and get creative in the colourful craft corner.
