AN APPEAL has been launched after a girl suffered facial injuries from a dog bite in South View.
Police were called to the playing fields off Sherbourne Road, to reports that a dog had bitten a 12-year-old girl.
The incident took place between 3.30pm and 4pm on Saturday, 23 February and was reported by the dog’s owner.
The dog, a Husky cross, has been seized and is currently in secure kennels while officers continue their investigations.
The girl, who is from Basingstoke, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to her hand and face.
