A MAN who was caught drug driving has been banned for a year and ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Peter Broadbent, aged 42, was spotted driving along the A303 on October 14 last year while over the limit.
A test found he had 400 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine in his blood - the legal limit is 50.
Broadbent was also found with 3.7 micrograms of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his system – the limit is two.
Officers also discovered eight grams of cannabis resin and one gram of herbal cannabis in the car.
At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on February 4 Broadbent, of Greenlands Road, Weybridge, pleaded guilty to the offences.
In sentencing, magistrates ordered him to carry out 80 hours unpaid and disqualified Broadbent from driving for 28 months.
Broadbent must also by £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of the same amount.
