STUDENTS from Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) recently had the chance to sit down with senior members of staff and give feedback on their experiences at the college, at a series of ‘Learner Parliament’ events.

As well as the principal Anthony Bravo, staff from a range of departments including lecturers, IT, marketing, estates, careers and many more, met with students in the college’s onsite restaurant to discuss what is working well for the students, and how their college experience could be improved.

Speaking after the staging of the event, Mr Bravo said: “Learner Parliament is a fantastic way for students to be involved in shaping the agenda of the college to improve the student experience.

“Student feedback is collated into an action plan which the college uses to make improvements. Students can see the real impact they have on the college.”

The sessions, which take place on four occasions throughout the year at BCoT, are organised by the college’s Student Union and are part of the students’ enrichment hours which they must fulfil as part of their course.
