LAST month a group of Year 8 students were lucky enough to attend an event called Get Inspired, organised by EBP South, and held at the Basingstoke Apollo Hotel.
There were lots of organisations there representing many of our local big employers, including those offering apprenticeships.
Many of the stands had interactive activities. QMC was there showing off some brilliant computer games which had been developed by the students there. It was great to experience what could be achieved while still studying.
There were tower building competitions too, giving an opportunity for some great discussions about engineering. Not that we were competitive but Cranbourne were certainly winning when it came to our time to leave!
By the time we left, everyone was buzzing from all the ideas they had been given, and the fun they had had. To top it all, Emma Graves won a £20 lucky dip prize for her feedback form. Congratulations Emma.
