QUEEN Mary's College has presented Sebastian's Action Trust with £1,065 after the annual Christmas Charity Concert that took place in December.

Community partnerships officer for the charity Robert Taylor was grateful to receive the cheque when he visited the college last week.

He explained how the money raised will go towards The Bluebells; a rest home that families go to for what is more than likely their last time with their child.

Robert attended the concert in person where he also said a few words to the audience about the work of Sebastian's Action Trust.

He said: "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed what were performances of the highest calibre and so much appreciated by an enthusiastic and discerning audience. QMC must be very proud of everyone involved."

He added "On behalf of Sebastian's Action Trust I offer my sincere thanks to the college and in particular the performing arts department, for supporting our work in this crucial fundraising and awareness raising way."
