POLICE have re-bailed a man as investigations are ongoing into the death of a man outside a pub in Baughurst.
As previously reported by The Gazette, Peter Bradfield suffered a fatal head injury following an incident in the car park of The Cricketers pub, in Heath End Road, on December 22.
The 53-year-old was taken to Basingstoke hospital, but died from his injuries on December 24.
Officers arrested a 35-year-old man, from Micheldever, on suspicion of murder and a 16-year-old boy from Reading was arrested on suspicion of affray.
The 35-year-old man has been re-bailed until March 24, with no further action being taken against the teenager.
Following his death, Mr Bradfield’s partner Melanie Griffiths paid tribute to him.
She said: “We have lost a much-loved son, father, exceptional step-dad and partner.
"Needlessly taken too soon. Our hearts are broken.”
