SILCHESTER Church of England Primary School has launched a new initiative to do its bit to help the environment.
The newly-elected school council wanted the school to take on a more ecological role.
So, pupils have started collecting ecobricks - a plastic bottle, filled with clean, dry, un-recyclable plastic packaging.
Across the world, ecobricks are being used to build all kinds of structures from garden furniture to walls.
Pupils at the school are encouraging residents to get involved by filling a bottle and once it is finished depositing it in a collection box in the bike shed outside the front of the school.
