ROADWORKS which have had a major impact across Basingstoke will not be lifted today.
Worting Road has been closed since January 7 between the West Ham roundabout and the Worting Road roundabout was due to reopen on Friday.
However, due to the snow on Friday, the lifting of the works was put back and it was hoped the area would reopen today.
Hampshire County Council has now confirmed the closure will not be lifted today.
The #Worting Road closure is unlikely to be lifted today unfortunately due to the conditions, but we are doing all we can to reopen the road as soon as possible. It's now likely to be lifted by the end of tomorrow Tuesday 5 February. #basingstoke @BasingstokeGov https://t.co/HDDnD2ogaW

The roadworks are to allow for a long-awaited flood alleviation scheme to be installed in Buckskin.
