THE Kingsclere Branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) was honoured at the recent Hampshire County RBL Conference by receiving two prizes.
The branch won the Folly Membership Cup for displaying a sustained increase in recruitment and retention.
It also came runner-up in the Buckingham Shield which is presented for a sustained improvement in fundraising.
Branch chairman Mark Holden said: “We were surprised and very pleased to have been selected to receive these awards, which are the first we have every won at the county level. The whole branch has worked so hard over the past 18 months to move us forward.”
