A STALKER has been given a community order after he tracked his victim’s movements using their phone.
Samuel Lay, 26, of Burney Bit, Pamber Heath, pleaded guilty to harassing another person when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on January 23.
The court heard how between August 27 last year and December 26, Lay remotely accessed his victim’s phone and monitored their movements.
Presiding magistrates also heard that the defendant made a number of late-night visits to his victim’s home address, phoning them several times from a withheld number.
Magistrates issued a community order and restraining order for the 26-year-old and ordered him to pay £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
