THE death of a woman is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have said.
Officers were called to a house in Merton Road, Basingstoke, at 7.54am on Friday (25 January), the body of a 73-year-old woman was found.
Police arrested a 47-year-old man from Basingstoke on suspicion of murder, and he was questioned over the death.
A police spokesman confirmed that the man was released from police custody yesterday (26 January) and no further action will be taken against him.
The spokesman added: “The death is no longer being treated as suspicious however remains unexplained at this time.”
