ROADWORKS will get underway on Monday and are set to last for up to ten weeks.
As part of its programme to improve the water supply network, South East Water is planning a £110,000 scheme to install 400 metres of new water main along Houndmills Road, Basingstoke.
As a safety precaution for pedestrians, motorists and the contractors, temporary traffic lights will be used from Monday.
A South East Water spokesperson said: "We would like to assure customers, however, that access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
"Construction is planned to start on Monday, 28 January and the project is expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete. However, our contractor’s staff will work as hard as they can to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible."
