BASINGSTOKE Samaritans joined in a nationwide campaign to get people talking, by giving out tea bags at Basingstoke railway station.
The Basingstoke branch of the Samaritans took part in the nationwide ‘Brew Monday’ campaign on Monday, 21 January, which is also known as ‘Blue Monday’.
The scheme was in a bid to help beat the winter blues, combat loneliness and raise money over a cup of tea.
The group were on hand at the railway station to give out the tea bags throughout the day and encourage conversations with commuters passing through between 10am and 4pm.
