THE Classic Rock Show comes to The Anvil on Friday, 18 January featuring songs from AC/DC to ZZ Top and everything in between, including Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Queen, The Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Meatloaf plus many more.

Anthem after anthem, riff after riff, solo after solo, The Classic Rock Show brings your favourite recordings back to life on stage accompanied by a huge sound and light show to match. This gem of a rock show culminates in a show-stopping guitar duel that is definitely not to be missed.

For more great music, the incredibly popular That'll Be The Day returns on Saturday, 26 January. The UK’s favourite rock ‘n’ roll variety production blends hits from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s with bags of hilarious comedy.

Now in its 33rd year of consecutive touring, That’ll Be The Day is living proof that rock 'n' roll will never die, with audiences returning to see the show time and time again.

Trevor Payne, who first created the show back in 1986, still directs, produces and stars in the production today. Trevor rewrites all the material for the show each year, and over six months is taken in planning and preparation. Complete with stunning costumes and incredible live music performances, That’ll Be The Day is the golden age of popular music, revived.

The following day, Sunday 27th, the Rotary Club of Basingstoke Deane presents the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines at The Anvil for a concert at 3pm.

The concert will provide a wonderful two and a half hours of toe-tapping, flag-waving and sing-a-long opportunities for a great afternoon of entertainment. The music is mixed and varied with much-loved music from the movies, swing band, popular classical pieces often used on television adverts and patriotic tunes known by all generations.

The majestic full Concert Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, the Royal Corps of Drummers and special guests The Chelsea Pensioners, will again make this 11th annual charity concert a very special event.
