THE former treasurer of a Basingstoke youth football team has admitted to costing the club £100,000 through fraud.
Sharon Webb, 53, of Normanton Road, Oakridge, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday last week where she pleaded guilty to misusing Basingstoke Town Colts Youth Football Club funds between January 2010 and November 2017.
The BBC reported that Webb has so far paid £70,000 back to the club since the incident came to light.
Basingstoke Town Colts Youth Football Club provides coaching and organises matches for children aged from six to 18-years-old and has more than 200 players.
Webb is due to appear for sentencing at Winchester Crown Court in February.
