A HAUL of what is believed to be cannabis has been uncovered by police in a raid in Kempshott.

Officers carried out a search of a home in Hollyhock Close on Monday last week and inside found a large quantity of plants which police believe to be cannabis plants.

Hampshire Constabulary officers are speaking to the landlord of the property who is said to be helping with the enquiries.

No one was inside the address when police carried out our search and no arrests have been made at this time.

The raid was part of the Fortress programme, ongoing work between a number of agencies tackling drug-related crime in the area.

Police advise anyone concerned about drug-related crime in their neighbourhood should call 101 or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
