RAIL users have until Tuesday to grab a bargain.
From Christmas Day until January 8, South Western Railway (SWR) is releasing 300,000 discounted off-peak tickets for travel between January 2 and 8 March 2019.
Standard class tickets are priced at £8, £10 and £12 whilst first class tickets are priced at £12, £16 and £20. A further 50 per cent discount is applied to child tickets.
Ticket types and prices are based on the distance being travelled, for example a Basingstoke to London day return would be £12, saving £12.30.
Peter Williams, SWR commercial director, said: “This is SWR’s latest ticket offer that could save customers more than 50 per cent off our standard prices. It is further evidence of our commitment to providing great value travel to the many hundreds of exciting destinations across our network.”
