THE business high-fliers of tomorrow have had their skills tested in a Dragons' Den style test.

Students from Brighton Hill Community School and The Costello School, along with counterparts from two schools in Farnborough came face-to-face with three dragons at BAE Systems, in Farnborough, on December 4.

The teams each had four minutes to pitch their business idea to the dragons in front of an audience and answer questions about their marketing strategy, purchasing and financial plans.

Each dragon had £50 to invest in any or all of the companies and after conferring awarded £100 to Verditus, from Brighton Hill Community School which plans to create a new Family board game.

The team had conducted market research in Basingstoke at the Young Enterprise Christmas Fair two weeks before.

Each of the remaining teams received £10 towards their set up costs.

The teams will develop their products and plan to sell these at trade fairs in Hampshire in early 2019 in a bid to win the coveted BEST Young Enterprise Company at the county finals in May 2019.
