DIRECT from the North Pole, Elf Day came to Barchester’s Ashcombe House care home, with a day of elf antics and games.

Staff and residents at the Worting road facility dressed as their best ‘elf’s’ to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s society.

An Elf parade, hum that hymn, charades and a Christmas quiz was just some of the games played at the home. Bucks fizz and mince pies rounded of the afternoon and got us all excited for Christmas.

General manager of Ashcombe House, Louise Lambert said: “We endeavoured to give each of our residents something that they could really be excited about in the run up to Christmas.

"I am pleased that we could hold something like this for our home and it is clear that everyone has really enjoyed the day and to raise awareness for such a good cause."
