BASINGSTOKE'S two-day music festival is set to return next July with tickets now on sale.

The B Love festival held at the War Memorial Park brings at an end of the month-long Basingstoke Festival.

Last summer was the first year the event had paid for tickets, having previously been a free event, and there will be a freeze on ticket prices for people purchasing before May 31.

All tickets paid for before that date will be charged £10 for a day and £15 for a weekend ticket.

For just £2, young people aged between 13 and 17 years old can snap up a day ticket and £3 for a weekend ticket., with a 7.5 per cent booking fee applied.

However, tickets purchased after May 31 will be priced at £15 for a day and £23 for a weekend and £3 for a day ticket and £4.50 for a weekend ticket for those aged between 13 and 17 years old, with a booking fees applied.

Under 12s go free with a paying adult although they must have a ticket booked for them to enter the event.

The cabinet member responsible for arts and heritage at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, who helps run the festival, Councillor Terri Reid said: “We’re excited to support the two-day B LOVE festival again in 2019 as we know how important a live festival in the park is to people in the borough and further afield.

“The countdown is on so get your tickets now to avoid disappointment and enjoy a weekend full of live music and entertainment for all ages.”

Line-up announcements for next year’s event, which takes place on July 6 and 7, will be made in the coming months.
