Harry the cat with the books
A BASINGSTOKE author has been out and about promoting reading in schools, and will soon be meeting up for a festive event.
Sue Lawrence, the author of Harry, A Cat’s Tale, and the sequel, has been going around the local area and further afield to encourage pupils to get reading with her recent books.
She will be appearing at the Christmas Fair in Old Basing on Sunday, 2 December at Old Basing Village Hall for a meet and greet session and to show her books.
Sue said: “I’ve been out promoting the essential skill of reading and it is an issue for some children who can’t read or write. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the Christmas fair.”
