BASINGSTOKE’S MP has visited of a secondary school to hear about latest developments.
Maria Miller visited Aldworth School, in South Ham, as part of her regular school visits.
Mrs Miller met with headteacher Denis McCabe to catch up on topics including the summer;s GCSE results and a focus towards achieving ‘good’ at the next Ofsted inspection.
The MP also met students who were receiving their certificates for the Book of Excellence, which is a weekly reward scheme recognising those who have produced work of a very high quality.
Mrs Miller said: “I was very pleased to visit Aldworth School again, and to meet the headteacher and some of the students.
“I am always keen to hear students’ views on things that matter to them and the students at Aldworth had some really interesting ideas and perspectives.”
