ON FRIDAY, 16 November Everest Community Academy held a talent show to raise money for Children In Need.
In front of an audience of approximately 200 Year 7 and Year 8 students, who each paid 50p to watch the show, 12 acts got up on stage to perform their talents, with our head boy and head girl acting as the deciding judges.
We had a variety of acts including; singing, dancing, magic and rapping (about issues in society today) all of which were amazing!
After a fantastic hour, presenters Rosalie Smith and I found out the audience’s favourite act by a noise-o-meter. A minute or two later the judges decided on a winner and a first and second runner-up. First and second place was awarded to two singers and third place was given to a magic act. However, all 12 acts were extremely impressive. Many thanks to teacher, Mr Murphy, for helping to us organise the event.
We will be holding a non school uniform day in December to raise money for charity.
