A PAIR of supermarket giants have done their bit to help a self-storage facility's festive charity appeal.

The Access Self Storage Basingstoke Christmas Charity Appeal, which this year is in aid of local charity St Michael’s Hospice, has been backed by the Tesco and Sainsbury's stores in The Malls shopping centre.

Donations can be left at Access Self Storage Basingstoke, in Rankine Road, any time from now until December 14 when they will then be passed on to the hospice.

Access Self Storage Basingstoke manager Mike Blaszkowicz said: “We’re really delighted with the collection so far. When you think that in the past seven years, 4,600 gifts have been collected nationally, it really is amazing. We are seeing the appeal grow year on year and are hoping 2018 will be our best year yet.

"We want to say a special thank you to Tesco and Sainsbury’s of Festival Place for backing our appeal. There’s still four weeks left, so if you’d like to help, please pop in and drop off toys, biscuits and chocolates to this great charity."

All donations may be left at the reception of Access Self Storage Basingstoke where they will be stored until they are delivered to St Michael’s Hospice.
