A BREWERY near Hook has partnered with a charity to launch a rugby-themed ale.

Andwell Brewing Company has partnered with Wooden Spoon to launch Crouch Hold Engage, an ale designed to raise awareness and funds for the organisation.

The award-winning ale has been relaunched by Phil Burgess, Team GB and international sevens rugby player.

The charity ale will be found in bars and pubs throughout the south of the country from this month, with plans to go nationwide next year.

Head of business development at Wooden Spoon, Ian Lindsay, said: “We are thrilled to have collaborated with an award-winning, acclaimed brewery to produce a charity ale.

“It will provide us with a fantastic opportunity to promote awareness of the charity and raise valuable funds to support our upcoming projects.

“Andwell’s has crafted an enjoyable, scrumptious ale that we think will be very popular.”

Andwell Brewing Company will be donating a percentage of all of the sales of Crouch Hold Engage to Wooden Spoon to support the charity in its mission.

Wooden Spoon supports children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantages through the power of rugby.

Rugby and ale fans can pre-order the drink by contacting the brewery on 01256 761 044 or e-mailing beer@andwells.com.
