SCHOOLS, businesses and community groups from Andover and beyond are donning their best spotty outfits and fundraising for Children in Need today.

Millions of pounds is expected to be raised across the country for the event, with this year’s theme asking people to ‘Do Your Thing’.

Staff at Just Teasin hairdressers, in Bridge Street, have been pedalling with Pudsey as the team have been jumping on and off an exercise bike to raise money.

They have also been rolling up their sleeves and baked or bought a range of tasty treats for their customers to eat for a donation. The salon is also raffling off a Children in Need cake.

Owner Jane Tarrant said: “Throughout the day we will have someone on the bike pedalling with Pudsey until we close. We do something every year for Children in Need as it is the charity that I have chosen to support.

“The customers love it, they really get behind it, they are taking the cakes away or putting in a donation.”

Pupils at Anton Junior School have dressed up in spots, stripes and even Pudsey onesies in aid of the event, with each donating a £1 or more to the cause.

Headteacher Lisa Hodgekinson said: "It has been really good an a lot of fun."

The team at Boots, in the Chantry Centre, have also got involved by dressing up and displaying buckets for people to donate.
