A CHARITY which aims to promote independent living for the over 50s has held a special memorial lunch.
Tadley Age Concern invited residents to a memorial lunch at the Ambrose Allen Centre on November 6 to remember those who lost their lives in the First World War.
Those who attended the event were invited to bring along photos and other mementos of their relations and they were then displayed on a memorial table at the lunch.
During the event, a minute’s silence was held, with the Last Post and the Reveille were played by a serving soldier in the 1960s and a member of Basing Corps of Drums.
