TICKETS for next year’s CarFest South are now on sale.

The annual music extravaganza at Laverstoke Park Farm will return on August 23 to August 25.

Already confirmed to appear at next year’s Bank Holiday Event are All Saints, Beverley Knight, Clean Bandit, Human League, Jools Holland, The Jacksons, Tom Odell and Ziggy Marley.

As always, the main beneficiary of next year’s festival will be Children in Need, who will receive 50 per cent of the total funds raised from the event.

However, this year there are four other charities who are set to benefit from the fun-filled weekend, which were selected by CarFest founder Chris Evans and the CarFest team from a shortlist of UK children’s charities.

The chosen charities are: Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.

Teenage Cancer Trust honorary patron and frontman of The Who, Roger Daltrey CBE, said: “I can’t thank Chris and the team enough for choosing Teenage Cancer Trust as one of the new partners for CarFest 2019.

“This is a huge opportunity for the charity, which relies entirely on voluntary donations. Right now, for every young person Teenage Cancer Trust reaches with its world-leading and age-appropriate care, there’s another it can't, so this support is vital.

“Without teenagers having a passion for music, there would be no Rock n Roll; being able to give back to this age group is very important to me. CarFest has achieved great things over the years in support of Children in Need - we’re delighted to be given this chance and are really proud to be a part of it.”

Rainbow Trust ambassador Gyles Brandreth added: “Rainbow Trust is a fantastic children’s charity close to my heart. Rainbow Trust Family Support Workers support the entire family, helping them to cope when they are caring for a seriously ill child.

“This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for the charity and it is hugely grateful of the support from CarFest and Chris Evans.”
