THOUSANDS of people gathered at the Hatch Warren Community Centre for an evening of spectacular fireworks.
The event, organised by the Hatch Warren and Beggarwood Community Association, has become a popular occasion on the community calendar.
The sell-out event was run entirely by volunteers and featured children’s rides, live music, a licenced bar and lots of hot food to keep all the spectators warm.
While the crowds were waiting for the display, which started at 7.30pm, there was a great community feel to the event as friends and families caught up with each other, enjoying a clear night’s sky.
All the money raised from the event will help the association with the maintenance of the community centre, as well as help run other events.
