A MAN is in a 'life-threatening condition' after being rescued from a roof in Old Basing after being taken ill.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Byfleet Avenue at 8.44am this morning (November 5).
The man, who is believed to be in his 50s, was working on a roof at a property in the area.
Firefighters from Basingstoke Fire Station rescued the man by ladder after he had become ill while working on the roof.
The man has been taken to Basingstoke hospital after treatment at the scene by South Central Ambulance Services, which describes his condition as 'life-threatening'.
