BASINGSTOKE Rape and Sexual Abuse Crisis Centre (BRASACC) has been operating in Basingstoke since 1986, and based at The Orchard since 2002, run by a dedicated team of specially-trained volunteers from a broad range of backgrounds.

BRASACC operates independently from police and local government, and promise to deal with every enquiry on a sensitive, timely and confidential basis.

Rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse can happen to anyone regardless of their age, gender, race, religion, culture, social status or sexuality. Living with the consequences of rape and sexual abuse can be devastating.

BRASACC believes that all survivors are entitled to receive the best possible response to their needs whether or not they choose to report their experience to the police.

BRASACC can provide practical and emotional support to anyone over 16, male or female who has been raped, sexually assaulted or sexually abused, whether recently or years ago, the same support is offered to family members, partners and supporters, including information relating to examinations, STI and pregnancy testing, police enquiries and court procedures

For those who live in north Hampshire, BRASACC offers free and confidential individual counselling on an individually-assessed basis, in addition to a comprehensive network of care including a support group and, when necessary trauma appointments.

BRASACC understand what rape and sexual abuse is all about. They are not shockable, they do not judge feelings or actions and they encourage you to express your thoughts and feelings whatever they might be. All staff and volunteers receive regular supervision and support.
