A STALKER has been jailed for climbing through his victim’s bedroom window.

Aiden James Riley, 29, of Bach Road, Brighton Hill appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on October 22 where he was found guilty of harassing and stalking another person.

The court heard that between July 28 and August 5, Riley had pursued his victim by sending them numerous text messages, making phone calls and on one occasion climbing through an upstairs bedroom window of the property where his victim was.

The 29-year-old was also found guilty of assault by beating on July 28.

Riley was sentenced to a total of 18 weeks in jail and was ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

He also pleaded guilty to failing to appear before magistrates court on August 6. He was sentenced to a further 14 days in jail which runs concurrently with the previous counts.
