POLICE are appealing for information after two separate violent robberies in Oakridge.

The first of the robberies took place on Tuesday, 23 October, as a 20-year-old man was walking in the underpass between Shakespeare Road and Oakridge Road between 6.15pm and 6.45pm.

Two men approached the victim, before the man was punched in the face. The victim dropped his phone and then ran away.

The first man is described as being between 16 and 18 years of age, around 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, wearing a black jacket with a small white tick on the right hand side, black trousers, grey trainers with a white logo on the sides and carrying a satchel-type bag with a white logo.

The second man is described as being between 16 and 18 years of age, around 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build, wearing a black mask across his face, a green hooded top with a black jacket over the top, black trousers with a white logo on the right hand side, and carrying a black ‘man-bag’.

The second robbery took place between 9.45pm and 10.15pm on Thursday, 25 October in Oakridge Road, by the Oakridge Community Centre.

A 16-year-old boy was approached by six men and punched in the back of his neck. A bag containing clothing was stolen.

The men are described as wearing black/dark blue sporty clothing.

At this stage, the two robberies are not being linked by the police, but officers want to hear from anyone who saw what took place or who has any information on what happened.
