YOUNGSTERS quizzed their MP when she paid a visit to their school.

Basingstoke MP Maria Miller has visited St Anne’s Roman Catholic Primary School in South Ham, as part of her programme of regular visits to schools in her constituency.

The MP met with headteacher Jakki Alexander and assistant headteacher Martine Sadie, to discuss recent developments and progress at the school.

Mrs Miller also met members of the school council, who had prepared questions for her on a wide range of issues.

The MP said: “I was very pleased to be able to visit St Anne’s Primary School again, and to catch up with Mrs Alexander and Mrs Sadie, whose commitment to ensuring that their pupils receive an outstanding education is very clear.

"I also had a very enjoyable meeting with the school councillors, who had some great questions, and interesting ideas about making Basingstoke an even better place to live.”
