AS THE nights grow ever darker and winter closes in, would you brave the streets of Basingstoke?

A unique immersive theatre experience will be coming to Basingstoke for two nights to put participants to the test.

Organised by the Basingstoke Youth Theatre, Proteus Young Company and The Proteans, this unique concept is inspired by the great high-concept horror movies of the 1970s.

Come With Me If You Want To Live immerses the audience in the performance and is a truly unnerving journey into darkness.

For a completely different evening out this Halloween, Come With Me If You Want To Live is a promenade theatre piece that will appeal to fans of Buzzfeed’s Unsolved, lovers of fairground ghost trains and the great horror movies of the past.

Mary George, marketing manager at the Proteus Creation Space, said: “The hope is that each little detail will not only enhance the authenticity of the experience, but audience members will quickly find themselves truly immersed in the world of Romero Industries, the setting for the show.”

The performances, which will be held on November 1 and 2, will take place at a secret location in the centre of Basingstoke, which audience members will be told where to meet 48 hours before the event.

The audience are required to move with the action, so is not suitable for individuals of a nervous disposition.

Tickets cost £10, with the performance starting at 7.30pm. For more details and tickets visit proteustheatre.com/whats-on.
