ELEPHANT’S toothpaste, the binary birthday party, a literature room, live music performances and interactive murder mysteries were just some of the highlights at a school open evening.

The Costello School welcomed around 450 families to its Open Evening on Wednesday, 26 September, making it the most successful open event in the school’s history.

The evening was a chance for parents to familiarise themselves with the opportunities available at The Costello School, which has recently become part of the Bohunt Education Trust.

Parents were greeted with dinner, prepared by food technology students; the set phrase dance rehearsals, practical work and laser cutting in design technology, ‘meet the governors and Bohunt Education Trust’ and information regarding support at Costello were just some examples of the experiences on offer.

Randall Jull, Head of School at The Costello School said: “It has been wonderful to be part of the extraordinary team of students and staff in the lead-up to our open evening and I feel privileged to have led the school for the last few months."

There will be further opening mornings on February 5 and June 18 for prospective pupils and their families.
