AN OLD fashioned jumble sale has helped provide a boost for charity.
The Bring Joy Foundation was the beneficiary of the sale held at Oakridge West Community Centre on Saturday, 6 October.
The foundation was founded by Home Instead Senior Care, which put on the event, and give grants to enable the elderly to be taken out for day trips and treats to allow them to enjoy themselves in older age.
Caregivers gave up their time to run the event and more than £400 was raised on the day.
The centre in Upton Crescent has donated the use of the centre at a charity rate footed by Home Instead Senior Care while Vehicle 4 Rent loaned a van free of charge for the day.
