AN EPIC cycling journey came to an end in Basingstoke.
Ben Arnett took on the challenge of cycling between all eight of the Blue Sky Fostering offices, covering a total distance of 500 miles in just five days, all in aid of charity.
On September 28, he finished the challenge at the Basingstoke office of Blue Sky Fostering at the Basepoint Business Centre, in Stroudley Road where he was greeted by family, friends and many of the agency’s staff and fostering families.
Ben, who was cheered on all the way by girlfriend Sophie Bright, was taking on the challenge in aid of Diabetes UK and The Childs i Foundation which helps place abandoned children in Uganda among fostering families.
Sophie, a Blue Sky social worker, said: “We were truly overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness. It was a tough but amazing week and it was all very much worth it after receiving donations for both charities, Child’s I Foundation and Diabetes UK.”
