HAMPSHIRE drivers are being urged to drive carefully in today's downpours.
Heavy rain is expected to continue into the afternoon in Basingstoke, before picking up again at around 7pm according to the Met Office.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is reminding motorists to slow down, and stopping distances are double in the wet weather.
