A STUDENT from Queen Mary’s College achieved bronze on the world stage, despite competing with an injury.
Morten van der Schee, 16, competed in the Men’s Junior Target Sprint event at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Championships in South Korea.
The teenager was representing Great Britain in the event which combines running and rifle shooting, facing off against competitors from seven countries in the final.
The GB shooter had a photo finish with German rival Felix Elsner, as they crossed the line shoulder to shoulder. Morten completed the six, 200-metre laps and three shooting sessions in a time only 14 tenths of a second behind the silver medal.
