POLICE are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Popley last night.
Officers were called to Abbey Road in Popley at 5.50pm last night (October 11) to reports of a man being assaulted.
The 39-year-old man was treated for injuries to his hand and chest and was taken to Basingstoke hospital for treatment.
Enquiries are still taking place to understand what happened and officers are reviewing CCTV.
Members of Hampshire Constabulary's Neighbourhood Policing Team will be patrolling the area.
