MILESTONES Museum is hosting a Big Draw event this Saturday and Sunday featuring art workshops run by artist Paula Preston and drawing-based activities going on around the venue.
Children will be invited to draw in the dark inside a replica of an old Andersen Shelter and imagine what it might have been like at the time.
There is a also 'sketchbook scavenger' hunt challenge for children to collect as many different textures around the museum as they can and a memory drawing activity involving old fashioned toys from the past.
All of the events have been designed to encourage participants to engage with the exhibits and get close to local history through the medium of drawing.
Paula said: " I am very excited to be working with Milestones on this project and look forward to creating some great drawings with as many children as possible."
