BLUEBIRD Care Hook and Kingsclere, a provider of at home and live in care based in Kingsclere Park, is celebrating Silver Sunday on October 14 by cooking Sunday lunch.

The Bluebird Care team will be cooking lunch for older people in the community at the Fieldgate Centre, in Fieldgate Drive, Kingsclere and is inviting anyone who is over the age of 65 to join them from 1pm to 5pm, for free.

The national Silver Sunday campaign specifically targets loneliness.

Kim Teagle, public relations manager at Bluebird Care Hook and Kingsclere, said: “Silver Sunday is one of my favourite events of the year, I am so excited to see everyone come together.

"As part of our commitment to the local community we are inviting anyone who is over the age of 65 and, more importantly, who would benefit from coming to an event focussed on increasing happiness and wellbeing, for a roast Sunday lunch.

"Sunday lunch is a great way to bring people together and I look forward to seeing lots of people from the local area – so everyone make sure you sign up.”

If you would like to attend or you know someone who could benefit, call 01256 748394 or email charlottescott@bluebirdcare.co.uk for more information and to reserve a place.

Tickets are available on a first come first served basis.
