A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was found with serious injuries in a town centre car park.
Police were called to the underground car park area of the Crown Heights apartment complex, in Alencon Link, at 1.50pm yesterday (October 3) after reports of a woman being found in the area.
The 44-year-old woman was taken to Southampton General Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Yesterday (October 4) officers arrested a 33-year-old man from Berkshire on suspicion of attempted murder, though he has today been released from police custody but remains under investigation.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened in Crown Heights, or who has any information that may be useful to our investigation.”
