A MAN who sustained life-threatening injuries had to be cut free from a vehicle following an incident in Brookvale last night (September 27).
Emergency services were called to a collision near the New Inn, in Sarum Hill at around 6.15pm involving three vehicles.
A doctor at the scene informed South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) that one of the people involved was in a life-threatening condition.
Two ambulances, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
Three crews from Basingstoke fire station were called to attend the scene to cut free a 28-year-old man from his vehicle.
The man was stabilised at the scene and his condition had improved, though still considered to be serious, and transported by road to Basingstoke hospital.
Three other people involved in the incident were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
