A HOUSEBUILDER has welcomed young people from a disabled children’s charity to have a look around a new development in Hartley Wintney.
Barratt Homes welcomed members of disabled children’s charity Whizz-Kidz to its St Mary’s Park development to promote the importance of accessibility in the future design of new homes.
Georgia Head, 19, was one of the youngsters to visit St Mary’s Park, meeting with Barratt’s Lynnette St Quintin, to take a tour.
As part of the campaign to make new homes more accessible to all, young people from the Whizz-Kidz charity will be visiting developments across the UK.
In line with the aims of the charity, they aim to transform the lives of disabled children across the UK, supporting them to become confident and independent young adults.
After the visits are complete, Georgia and the rest of the Whizz-Kidz Kidz Board will collate their findings and the results will be fed back to Barratt to be implemented in to future developments.
The aim is to come up with a strategy to benefit future wheelchair users aspiring to buy their own home.
