A 34-YEAR-OLD man has been found guilty of causing the death of an Oakridge motorcyclist.

Mark Copley, of Cherry Tree Walk, was travelling along the A27 near to Portsbridge, Portsmouth, on April 30, 2017, when he was struck at around 12.10pm.

The 51-year-old was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital but died from his injuries on May 10.

Ben Challinor, of Battens Way, Havant, was found guilty yesterday (September 26) of causing Mr Copley’s death by careless driving following a trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.

Challinor will be sentenced on November 13.

In a statement following Mr Copley’s death, his family said: “He was a loving husband and a great dad, who will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.”
